Conference Plenary Presenter: Dr. Dann A. Brown, Texas State University - University College
AD&D is pleased to welcome Dr. Dann A. Brown as our highlighted keynote presenter.  Dr. Brown will kick off the conference with lessons learned and key information to positively impact attendees' approach to their day-to-day challenges.  Dr. Dann Brown became Dean of University College at Texas State University on August 1, 2011. He immediately focused on establishing the framework for Personalized Academic & Career Exploration (PACE): A Focus on Freshmen, which is Texas State's Quality Enhancement Plan.  Before joining Texas State, Dr. Brown served as Dean of University College at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where he was responsible for college readiness initiatives, retention services, and programs enhancing first-year student success. He also obtained approximately $9 million in external funding while at TAMUK, including three successful Title V grant programs.

Cultural event - Thursday, March 9, 2017: Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens
AD&D will host a unique cultural event whilin South Carolina at thBoone Hall Plantation and Gardens.  Join us for a house and grounds tour, learn about the Gullah 
culture, and enjoy an unforgettable southern comfort dinner that can only be found in Charleston.  We will also have the opportunity to mingle while listening to the Gullah Southern Singers.  The full conference registration includes the Cultural event tour and dinner. Registration for guests is also available.
